DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijcnis.2026.01.07, Pub. Date: 8 Feb. 2026

In this research, we propose an integrated routing protocol termed Bacterial Foraging inspired Mamdani Fuzzy Inference based AODV (BF-MFI-AODV) for Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), which combines Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System (MFIS) and Bacterial Foraging Optimization (BFO) techniques. The protocol aims to address the challenges of dynamic and unpredictable network conditions in VANETs by leveraging fuzzy logic and bio-inspired optimization principles. BF-MFI-AODV enhances route discovery, maintenance, and optimization mechanisms, resulting in improved adaptability, reliability, and efficiency of communication. Through extensive simulations and real-world experiments, the performance of BF-MFI-AODV is evaluated in terms of packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, routing overhead, and network lifetime. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of BF-MFI-AODV in enhancing the overall performance of VANETs compared to existing routing protocols. The proposed protocol shows promise in providing robust and efficient communication solutions for dynamic vehicular environments, thus contributing to the advancement of intelligent transportation systems.

By M. Milton Joe B. Ramakrishnan R. S. Shaji

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijcnis.2014.03.05, Pub. Date: 8 Feb. 2014

Obviously fair communication establishment in every technology increases the efficiency. As we know well, vehicles are used in day to day life of every human being to move from one location to another location. If network communication is formed between vehicles, mobile phones and home based telephones, it will increase the safety of the passengers by communicating with one another. In this paper, we propose GSM based network communication in vehicles, which will develop reliable network communication between vehicles, mobile phones and home based telephones. The added advantage GSM based network communication among vehicles will lead to safety of travel by tracking the vehicle’s location, since GSM based network communication is established in vehicles.

The entire humanity needs a vehicle to travel from one place to another. Obviously a new model vehicle is manufactured by the manufacturing companies to attract its customers every day. All the manufactured vehicles have different advantages, when compared with one another. In this case, we introduce another added advantage to the vehicle is establishing inter vehicle wireless communication in VANET and preventing it from the hackers. This type of inter vehicle wireless communication among vehicles that are moving faster on the road will lead safety and increase Quality of Service (QoS) to the passengers. The proposed wireless inter vehicle communication will allow vehicles to inter change messages from one vehicle to another vehicle with the help of network communication and prevents the communication from the hackers.
